The new proprietary profile leg tube has had the greatest impact on the desking system design.The tube is induction welded cold rolled steel, roughly 12 gauge material at .084 inch thick.The Leg Extension Assembly brings an unprecedented level of user control to the Kare Ergonomic Desk product line by providing a six inch range of height adjustability to all three exclusivelyparabolic leg tube bases.

The adjustable desk leg assembly is made of two primary components, called the Collar and Column.The Column is held securely in place within the Collar, using set screws to obtain a solid mechanical interlock between the two structural components. The two set screws require only 4 revolutions each to release the column for adjustment. Their properly installed depth is indicated by the set screws being just above flush of the leg tube surface.

The assembly allows 6 inches of potential adjustment, with desk legs shipped at the middle of that range with glides. The Column has .5 inch center to center height adjustment hole spacing with 1 inch height indicator dots. Column and Collar are made of recyclable glass filled nylon thermoplastic. The Column is a solid material shaft, reinforced with a .5 inch diameter structural steel core for maximum rigidity.
