| | | Take 1/2 tablespoon of Downy fabric softner, put into spray bottle and fill with tap water. Shake it up to mix and spray on carpet to reduce static. No need to over due it , a little will work.

| | | Get a humidifer and put some moisture back into the air. Many buildings and climates are very low in humidity and can cause static to the point of damaging the computer and all electronics. This is a tried and true method used by all the largest electronic manufactures from clean room to office.

| | | This one wins the price for most unique!You know those anti-static sheets that are used in the dryer to control static on your clothes? Well, after you use it in the dryer, use it on your monitor. There is just the right amount of material left to reduce the charge on your computer that makes it such a dust and dirt collector. (I suggest that you only use the sheet that has gone through the dryer because there is less of a coating on them.)
